1894 Cole and Lockwood United Shows Circus Songster

The Cole and Lockwood United Shows gave two performances in Morris in 1894, as recorded in The Morris Chronicle quoted below, which can be viewed as a whole page at the link below. Their performances were well received, even in the rain.

The McNitt Postcard Album, part 1

Rene Elliott was generous enough to loan me this Souvenir Postal Cards album created by the McNitt Family between 1907 and 1913.

Click "Read More" and scroll down to see the first seven post cards.

The covers to the album look like they were hand made and applied after purchasing the "IDEAL CARD ALBUM."

Click on any of the small images below to be taken to a larger version of the same image. Close that window to return here.

McNitt Post Card album, part 2

Only two of the postcards on this page of the album have been mailed, another has a note on the back. The backs of the used postcards and the back of the one with the note will be shown. The other backs will be omitted.

I don't have a copy of the Morris High School yearbook for 1924. If anyone has a copy please provide us with a list of the graduates so it can be included here.

Rene Elliott provided the following information about this photo.

It seems to me that one of the Mansfield girls is seated in the front row?

Many thanks to Rene Elliott for the loan of the post card for digitizing.

The back of the card says that one cent postage is enough within the US, but two cents are needed to send the postcard abroad.
