Dr. Naylor, 50th Wedding Anniversary - 1914-1964

MORRIS - Dr. and Mrs. Howard W. Naylor were greeted by 300 guests at their 50th wedding anniversary open house last Wednesday. The occasion was held at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Elliott.
Howard W. Naylor and Dorothy Russell were married June 10, 1914 in El Paso, Texas, her home town. Nat S. Russell, of San Diego, was the only guest at the open house who had attended their marriage in 1914.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell are both graduates of Cornell Uni. versity, class of 1913. She taught school for one year in El Paso. Dr. Naylor, a Morris native, returned to his home town after college and began a veterinary practice.
After selling his practice to Dr. F. I. Reed, Dr. Naylor began manufacturing veterinary medicines and dilators. His business now employes about 20 women and is known as the H. W. Naylor Co., Inc.
The couple has one daughter, Mrs. Alma Elliott, and two grandsons, John and Howard Elliott.
